This is far better than I expected it to be. I went to Jcube to skate today, and so we dropped by JEM to have dinner. I didn't think my dinner would be that good, the kitchen only has a brigade of 4 and the restaurant sits about 40-50.
I ordered the lamb saddle with mashed potatoes, seasonal veg (carrots and haricot verts), mint puree or something and veal Jus. $22.80 As you can see, it's literally a lamb saddle cross section, so there's 2 loins which is equivalent to having 2 racks. I think it saves cost and meat because there the racks wont have to be trimmed. There are only 2 doneness available, medium well or well done. I think that's because it is precooked to save time, but it doesn't matter. It's really good. It was an open kitchen and we can see the kitchen from the window, the chefs were moving non-stop. I would look for a job there if it's located in Tampines. But it's located at the other side of Singapore. I don't know about other ambush outlets but this one is good.
By the way the restaurant was full during dinner service. And I will check out the outlet at Plaza Sing too. They have Poulet, Duck Confit, Chargrilled Ribeye, Salmon, Chilean Seabass (Cod), and braised lamb shanks! Haha I'm only promoting the meat menu because I am a meat eater. There are german sausages, and pastas too.
