Come on guys. I'm sharing this because I think it's important. My inspiration comes from a few of these guys, and my respect goes to them. I think that chefs are the one who give back the most, because most of them come from modest backgrounds and humble beginnings. Which explains their compassion and sympathy for others. It probably won’t be a tough sell: Bastianich is already training for the New York City Marathon on November 3, and finished 2011′s race in under four hours. Also on the roster: Bobby Flay, who has run three NYC marathons already; Landmarc chef and Chopped judge Marc Murphy, a newbie marathoner who’s running for food bank City Harvest; and Top Chef: All-Starwinner Richard Blais, who will log the miles for Alliance for a Healthier Generation, an organization working to lower the rates of childhood obesity. Meanwhile, chef Dave Beran of Next restaurant broke the 4-hour mark in the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, his fastest of the four marathons he’s run.
I am sure there are many chefs out there giving back. One being Jamie Oliver even though I didn't enjoy my time in his restaurant, but his campaign of improving school meals in not just his home country but America. His concept of 15 (Fifteen) who helps troubled teenagers by providing them with skills in the kitchen to earn a living.

I hope these videos explain what I'm trying to say! I think giving back is giving back. But giving back to people who save lives is real honor. Oh note: If you watch till the end of the Hell's Kitchen episode, it's funny how that Nedra or something, called Mary weak and wanted to put her up for Elimination when she's a finalist and only lost to Janel. On top of that, FYI the winner didnt take up the job at Caesar's Palace because she was tested positive for drugs. Enough said.
